A disc magnet is appropriately named so because it takes the shape of a disc. As a result of its shape, which makes it flat on both sides, it is used widely to perform different functions. Its principle use is in the fixing of wall fixtures such as art works, pictures, portfolios and souvenirs without the use of a hammer, nails and adhesives. Apart from walls, these magnets can be fixed on any vertical surface such as a door. Cabins, cupboards and refrigerators are some of the surfaces in most homes that play host to the disc magnet.
