The Artists Open Houses Festival in Brighton, a spectacular experience for four weekends in May during the three-week Brighton Festival and Brighton Festival Fringe, allows visitors to go directly to artists’ homes or studios or gardens to see, appreciate and buy spectacular artwork and gift ware crafts. Stroll among paintings, sculptures, ceramics, glass items, jewelry, textiles, furniture and furnishings and get a feel as to how they would appear in your own home. Over 1,000 artists and craftspeople exhibit their work in this largest free visual art event in the United Kingdom, which has been in existence for close to 30 years. Many exhibitions are within walking distance of each other, and some even offer you tea and homemade cake!
