The World Shakespeare Festival in Newcastle and Gateshead in June and July 2012 is part of a phenomenal collaboration between United Kingdom and international arts organizations as they celebrate William Shakespeare as the world’s playwright. Produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company, this fantastic entire event runs from the 23rd of April to November 2012 and includes thousands of artists from countries throughout the globe who perform close to 70 productions. The World Shakespeare Festival is also a part of the London 2012 Festival, which celebrates the Cultural Olympiad culmination.
